Move to boost party members mentally, intellectually and psychologically

GUWAHATI: The APCC (Assam Pradesh Congress Committee) will convene a three-day training workshop of the party members from December 15, informed APCC president Bhupen Borah. The Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra will be the venue.
The theme is 'Akau Natun Prabhat Hoba' (Again a New Dawn will Take Place)'.
Talking to the media here on Saturday, APCC president Bhupen Borah said, "Following the decision of AICC (All India Congress Committee), the APCC is convening the three-day training workshop . The Chief Guests include former Union Home Minister and present MP (Member of Parliament) P. Chidambaram, AICC general secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal, and AICC GS (general secretary) and the party's Assam in-charge Jitendra Singh."
Borah added, "The APCC has also invited senior party leader Rahul Gandhi. We are awaiting his confirmation."
The APCC president pointed out, "The 'Training Department of AICC will conduct this training programme. The trainers are specialists from various sectors. The objective of this three-day training meet is to strengthen the Congress members mentally, intellectually and psychologically so that they can effectively tackle all political challenges."
Bhupen Borah added, "Among the 700 party members who will attend the workshop are our state MPs (Members of Parliament) as well as former MPs. There will also be MLAs (Members of Legislative Assembly) and former Congress MLAs besides former party Ministers.
All state party members of AICC; APCC members; district and block-level Congress presidents; and the candidates of Congress who contested the last Assembly polls in 2021, chiefs of all the APCC wings, cells, and departments of APCC will also attend the convention.
